With one goal in mind to become familiar with the sailing community and create a basis for the sailig effort one should make, sailed Lisbeth Roebekk in 2005 and 2006, all that one came across. In east and west, training and regattas, in different boats and with different teams, at the same time that Lisbeth Roebekk upgraded herself on race theory and technical quastions.
Lisbeth Roebekk had earlier sailed 23 fots and duckling, and little bit windsurfing between always been in a motor boat.
In 2006 decided Lisbeth Roebekk only to sail in commercial project with the goal to sail with the most skilled sailors in the commercial project, higly skilled an professional team in big boats at the international arena.
In the spring of 2008, Knut Frostad and Espen Guttormsen made aware that Lisbeth Roebekk was interested in sailing in the VOR/V70 as participants in a professional VOR team.
In June 2008 the first meeting was held with the Norwegian Sailing Federation, Espen Guttormsen where the big boat amvitions for international sailing was discussed and interest in sailing VOR/V70 mentioned.
In July 2008 it been worked out an model of combination of big boat and match in the periode of 2009 – 2012. Match with the aim for OL2012 based on fulfillment of five criteria.
In Sept 2008 it was conducted a test sail with the Norwegian Sailing Federation with Espen Guttormsen and Lisbeth Roebekk. An evaluation rapport of Lisbeth Roebekk was worked out.
On the basis of sailing performance during the Olympic games 2008 Norwegian Sailing Federations framework was limited.
01.01.2009 was the non-profit organization NORLadies.no founded with the purpose of providing targeted 10-15 regatta women the opportunity to racing at the international arena, with the aim of an elite team. Sailing – making the results!
Lisbeth Roebekk started as project manager and three combinations prohects where approved for NORLadies.no as well as participants in other aim focused teams in national an international regattas for single NORLadies.no sailors.
Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, Farr40 and match with Elliott 6M. Match with the aim of Ol participants conditioned on fulfillment of five criteria, wtih the main criteria of cooperation with Norwegian Sailing Federation.
